Well, looks like it's true folks, Nikon has just anounced the D3x. Saw proof of it in the Nikon Pro Magazine. Here are the specs.

Nikon D3x

24.5mp in FX, 10mp in DX crop

iso 100 - 1600 (50 - 6400 expandable)

5fps FX, 7fps DX

I'm going to the Nikon Pro exibition in London soon, no doubt they'll have one there that I can play with.

Issues with Nikon D3 focussing

Just wondering if anyone has noticed problems with the Nikon D3 under quick autofocus.

I have just bought one and took it to a local football match, and the results were a bit disappointing, I had a much lower hit percentage than I normally do, and I'm sure it's not down to operator error.

Anyone else had trouble?

I've been reading about the Nikon D3, and have been very impressed with the stats, so am considering buying one, but then I heard that there might be a D3x in the offering, so don't want to waste my money if a bigger body is soon to launch.

Has anybody heard anything substancial?

Split View Prism

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a split prism for the Nikon D3, but it doesn't seem that anyone makes one.

I need to use one to help me with manual focus, as this is how I shoot the majority of my work,

Any ideas?

D3 and D300 Differences

Can anyone please tell me, what is the difference between the D3 and the D300 Nikons? I am thinking of buying one and do not mind splashing out the cash, but don't want to waste my money if the cameras are virtually the same, as they appear to be on paper.

Any help will be appreciated.

Canon or Nikon?

Hi guys and girls,

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice: I am an amateur photographer looking to buy either a Canon 40D or Nikon D300 for use in wildlife photography, but I'm not sure which is best.

I have been using Minolta up till now, but will sell my whole kit, as I am starting from scratch. What do you think?

Which way should I go?
