Picture of the month contest

Your chance to shine

Pic of the week - Photography Contest Winner

Our readers are excellent photographers.

Every month they send us images which any pro would be proud of.

Have a look at this month's winners, or enter yourself.

Who knows maybe next month you could be the winner.

The winner of the competition is chosen by our previous winners and if yours is selected, you will be invited to join the panel of judges.

Go on, be brave, you'll never know if you don't try, and it is free to enter. All you need to do is use the menu on the left to register, sign in, and upload your photos. It really is as simple as that.

Good Luck!

Themed competition

Home is where the heart is

For the first time, we have decided to launch a themed competition to run alongside the open Pic of the Month contest

The theme for the first month is "Home is where the heart is".

It follows on a discussion in the forums about how one can take great pictures near your own home.

Pictures can be landscapes, detailed macro shots or anything you wish, as long as it was taken close to where you live.

Adobe Photoshop is NOT the be-all and end-all of photographic software. There are many alternatives to this program, and many more that can live right along next to it. This month we look at a free alternative, called Picasa.
