I hope this image isn't too small to be seen well!
I'm not sure how to upload the bigger version!

I was wondering if the colour tones worked.
Or should i make it completely black and white?
I would love to hear your feedback.

Spectacular effort

Spectacular image Carolyn,

This is an effort to be proud of.

The eye contact is strong, the composition striking, and the pose original.

This is an extremely flattering portrait, I struggle to offer you any negative crit whatsoever.

By the way, welcome to the forum, and I hope to see a lot more of your work at Illustrated Photography.

I think that the colors are

I think that the colors are perfect the way they are, but I took the liberty of modifying it to see the B/W version, and guess what? I liked this one better.

You made a good mix of tones where they are required, the nails detail works nice, and the black in the eyes gives you a very profound sense.

I agree on the pose too.
