Hi guys,

I have always said that learning photography is a lifelong process, so I am unashamed to ask a question in the forum.

Here goes:

I ahve taken a few pictures while out walking in the Cotswolds, and have one particular shot which I think has a lot of potential. It shows one of the hikers walking up a mountain path through a forest, but behind them, the village can be seen through the trees.

Problem is, there was a major difference between the brightness of the direct sunlight falling on the village, and the shade in the woods, so I took two shots, one exposing for each.

Now, however, when I try to combine the two shots, I find that the leaves of the trees where moving in the wind, and I am unable to get natural looking effects.

Has anybody done work with replacing a sky behind foliage using photoshop? Any advice will be appreciated.
