Just wondering what the easiest way of posting a correct size photo in the forums would be? Do they all have to be uploaded to our albums in order to use them here?

I am currently looking for a way around this, but at the moment that is the only way.
Just remember that you are able to create sub-albums to your main album. This might be helpful if you want to have a "Portfolio" album and an "Stuff for the forum" album.

Improving the gallery
Vicki,
I just wanted to thank you for raising this issue.
The galleries and the way images are uploaded is such an important part of Illustrated Photography that it really needs to be as user friendly as possible.
I have had similar problems as you with our current gallery. I think it is just too complicated and confusing.
I have, however identified an alternative to the current system and am in the process of deploying it.
For the time being, you will see that you can now upload images directly to the forum using the little camera icon at the top of the "comment" box.
In a few weeks time I aim to migrate all of the images in the current system to the new system, so there may be some disruptions, but hopefully nothing will get lost.
I will keep you informed, and once again thank you for your comments.
