Dear readers,

Your editor has been struck down by a monster flue. We doubt it will be fatal, but it does mean some things at the site will take a bit longer to happen than anticipated.

Apologies,

Ed

Your sympathy will be appreciated.

I would say that it might be

feloescoto's picture

I would say that it might be the same flue that got me down, but thinking about the relatively large ocean that is between us, I really doubt that someone would buy that statement.

In any case, we are with you and hope you get back on your feet soon.

Regards,
Felipe

Duck!

ed's picture

I agree, highly unlikely, but I've read that ducks carry the flue virus on their migratory path each year, so maybe there was one supersonic duck out there with a lethal mission to infect the world.

Oh no Ed

Slow recovery.

ed's picture

Thanks for your concern guys, I'm still fighting for my life, but am sure I will be victorious in the end.

Ps. Before anyone thinks I really am on death's door, I only have the flue, even if it is a particularly violent strain.

I was thinking about this

I was thinking about this today, good to see that you are coming back to life.

No such luck

ed's picture

No such luck, my cough seems to be defying modern medicine, as it has now seen off two courses of antibiotics.

Of course, it doesn't help that I'm outside in the middle of the night with my camera...

Sorry to hear about that cough...

Ok, now you really have my curiousity up...outside? Please do tell.

Fireman ed, to the rescue

ed's picture

Oh, nothing special, it's all part of the job. News never sleeps and if the town hall catches fire, you can be sure I'll have my editor hollering down the phone.

I might as well sign up as a volunteer firefighter. As long as they don't mind if I bring my camera, I won't mind rolling up hoses.

Not that I'm complaining, I love it, really, the excitement and adrenaline gets me going every time.

Thank your husband for his concern. I need all the sympathy I can get from outside, as I've used up my yearly quota at home.
